A recent survey conducted by TolunaQuick shows that quite a few of you are worried about the current situation the EU finds itself in, with the majority of British, French, Spanish, German and Italian respondents voting that they are concerned…but what caused this crisis and what should we do to solve it?
It was interesting to see that when our survey was posted to our German, French, Spanish and Italian respondents all four countries had a majority vote that the UK should be part of the EU, however, the British respondents that completed our survey had a majority vote of 72.92% that answered ‘no’ when asked.
When asked if the UK should use the single currency like the other EU countries, the UK and Germany were the only countries that had the highest number of votes for the answer ‘no,’ with France, Spain and Italy’s respondent voting ‘yes’ to the UK using the Euro; perhaps to aid exports and imports within the EU?
The key question is how did we end up in this situation? Many of you believe bad political direction and banks are to blame and France, Spain and Italy believe the solution to help resolve the crisis would be for wealthier countries to lend money to struggling ones. Ironically, German respondents voted ‘no’ with 60.2%, as Germany would be one of the countries helping!
Whatever happens, let’s hope there is light at the end of the tunnel!
